My insurer just denied my disability claim which has got me fuming. I really thought there would not be a problem. I don’t know what else I could have done. Why was it denied? What can I do about it? I am in a really difficult position now, thanks to this stupid decision!

No matter how well you think you did when you submitted your claim, being denied is nothing new. It happens. Sometimes it can be for a small reason which can be rectified. Other times, it may be a little more difficult. Your claim may have been denied for any number of reasons. As for what you can do, my advice is to hire legal help. You should have a look at Mark Yazdani’s website and contact them for help. Sometimes, it is better to get the right help rather than stress yourself further in an already stressful situation.

Insurance policies tend to be unclear for most of us to understand. Your claim may have been denied because your application was incomplete. You may not have seen the appropriate doctor or there may not be enough clear evidence. If things like this occur, chances are it will be denied.

Insurance companies may deny claims for many reasons. It could be denied right from the start because of a qualifying period. Your disability may not be medically supported or there may not be sufficient evidence. If there is no proper diagnosis for your condition, the claim may also be denied. This is because they don’t know what kind of limitations or restrictions are associated with what you are going through. Denials can take place at any time during the process, like the beginning or middle.

I have no idea why you were denied, but this is nothing new. However, you do not have to accept it, especially if you know they are in the wrong. Unless you know what you need to do to turn it around, I suggest you get a lawyer to help you. Not just any lawyer, but one who specialises in this type of thing.

Insurance companies don’t like to pay you, let’s face it. So, if there is even a small reason, a mistake or some technicality, they will not pay or they will try to delay payment. I suppose this is why sometimes it is denied. That does not mean it is the end of the story. You can appeal or seek help and get round this. Don’t worry too much. Just know that you can do something about it.

Sometimes, a claim be denied for legitimate reasons. You may not be entitled to it or there could be a delay until a certain period passes. Make sure you know why it was denied and see if anything can be done. Get advice regarding your next move.

Maybe you were denied because of a pre-existing condition. Maybe the information sent in was not accurate. Perhaps your condition is not covered. Get yourself a lawyer and settle this quickly. At least you will know one way or the other.
